Winter Registration

Dublin Youth Athletics (DYA) Winter 2024-25 Recreational Basketball registration is OPEN at DYA.com.

Registration status for 2nd-6th Grade Developmental Leagues varies. Registration has REOPENED with remaining openings filled on a first-come basis. Space may be limited.

The DYA Recreational Basketball program is designed for 1st through 12th grade boys & girls and consists of 17 divisions.

DYA is hiring Youth Basketball Officials and Scorekeepers for the upcoming season.

Program Information - Winter 2024

Recreational Basketball
1st-12th grade boys & girls (Kindergartners born on or before 8/1/2018 may participate)
Program dates: late October-February (varies by division)
Registration closes: September-November (varies by division)

Introductory Leagues (1st & 2nd Grade) - DYA Rec Basketball Introductory Leagues are an introduction to skills, rules, and working as a team. Games are 3-on-3 with 1 coach for every 6 players; everyone plays. Kindergartners born on or before 8/1/2018 may participate in the 1st Grade division.

Developmental Leagues (2nd-6th Grade) - DYA Rec Basketball Developmental Leagues are designed for a fun and competitive skills development experience. Games are 5-on-5; everyone plays.

Relaxed Competitive Leagues (7th-12th Grade) - DYA Rec Basketball Relaxed Competitive Leagues are designed for a fun, relaxed and competitive experience. Games are 5-on-5; everyone plays.

Last day to register:
2nd-6th Grade Developmental Leagues: Sunday, September 29 (reopened to fill remaining spots)
7th/8th Grade Leagues: Wednesday, October 23
1st/2nd Grade Introductory Leagues: Sunday, November 3
9th-12th Grade Leagues: Sunday, November 3

Program Dates:
1st/2nd Grade Introductory: December 7-February 22
2nd/3rd Grade Developmental: October 21-February 22
4th-6th Grade Developmental: October 21-February 28
7th/8th Grade: November 11-February 28
9th-12th Grade Boys: December 7-February 28
9th-12th Grade Girls: December 8-February 28

Volunteer Coaches Needed

Dublin Youth Athletics (DYA) is a volunteer organization of parents providing sports programs for kids. DYA is recruiting coaches for basketball. Please consider volunteering to serve as the head coach or assistant coach of your child's team. Parents can register to coach their child's team during player registration or by clicking "Volunteer" on the user account page at DYA.com.

Youth Basketball Officials & Scorekeepers
8th-12th grade boys & girls
Program dates: December 7-February 28
Training sessions: November 2024

DYA is hiring Youth Officials and  Scorekeepers for the upcoming basketball season. The DYA Youth Basketball Officials & Scorekeepers programs are open to 8th-12th graders. Youth Basketball Officials work DYA Recreational Basketball 2nd-5th Grade Boys & Girls Developmental League games and can expect to work 20 to 40 games per season.

Scorekeepers operate the scoreboard for DYA Recreational Basketball 6th-12th Grade Boys & Girls League games.

DYA Grant Program

Dublin Youth Athletics is pleased to offer a Grant Program to assist families with the payment of registration fees for sports offered.

To qualify for the DYA Grant Program, applicants must qualify for the National School Lunch Program administered by the State of Ohio and local school districts. Grant recipients must reside within the boundaries of the Dublin City School District or within the City of Dublin.
