We know that the Coronavirus is a concern for everyone in our community as we have reached an unprecedented moment in our country. The DYA organization wanted to personally reach out to let you know that we want to do everything we can to combat the spread of the virus and keep our children, our parent volunteers, your families, and the community as safe as possible.
The DYA organization has always partnered with the Dublin City Schools and the City of Dublin Parks and Recreation services and align with them when it comes to the safety of our youth and their families. Thus, some decisions have an effect on our sporting activities. As of now, with the cancellation of schools all of our indoor activities have been canceled and will remain canceled until further notice.
Currently, we also believe it is prudent to suspend all other recreational activities as we also align our decisions with the that of the Governor. Thus, we are also suspending all of the activities of our Spring sport programs. Right now, this time frame will be until April 6th, unless there are further developments that would cause us to extend beyond this date.
We have closely been monitoring the developments in regards to COVID-19 and will continue to proactively monitor, evaluate, and respond to the impact of the virus keeping your safety and needs in mind. We will provide relevant updates as needed. Our thanks to all of you for your patience and understanding as we continue to live through this situation and abide what is being asked by our school and government officials. Thank you all for your continued support.
April 6th: Dublin students expected to return back to school (expect all programs to resume at this time)
April 13th: First week for baseball/softball practices
We will be having additional conversations on how we will be proceeding in the future at the DYA board meeting this upcoming Wednesday. March 18 @ 7:00pm at the DYA office
