Clinic & Sign-Ups

Note: The next clinic will be posted as soon as dates are confirmed and contracts received from the school district. If the dates below are from last year, then they will be updated as soon as possible. In the meantime they provide a general idea of when the clinics will be held. Clinics are held at approximately the same time each year on Sunday afternoons.

The next clinic for DYA youth officials will be held in November, 2011 Karrer Middle School.
Schedule for 2011 is as follows.

Referees must attend each date.

First Year Officials
November 6, 2011	1:30 pm to 1:55 pm	Registration & Check-in
	2:00 pm until 3:45 pm	Introduction to DYA Training station work, including rules for current year
	3:45 pm until 6:00 pm	On-court training
November 13, 2011	1:30 pm to 1:35 pm	Registration & Check-in
	1:35 pm until 6:00 pm	On-court training
Returning Officials
November 6, 2011	1:30 pm to 1:55 pm	Registration & Check-in
	2:00 pm until 4:00 pm	Introduction to DYA Training stations. Rule changes for current year
November 13, 2011	1:30 pm to 1:35 pm	Registration & Check-in
	1:35 pm until 6:00 pm	On-court training

Classifications, which determine pay grade, are based on participation in the clinics, regardless of the number of games previously worked. Referees must attend each of their respective November sessions to meet qualifications.

All referees are expected to attend the entire time assigned each day. These 3 to 6 hours of training will be helpful to you in your performance of your job as a DYA referee.

Wear comfortable clothes and carry court shoes to the clinic. Shirts will be available for sale for $20.00. Cash or check payable to DYA. Returning officials should wear shirt and bring whistle. Whistles will be provided to new officials.

Clinics are conducted by registered Ohio high school officials.
