Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari Users We have reports from persons who use Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari as their browser that text does not appear on certain pages, and some are completely blank. Let me assure you that there is text there. Here is the problem in a nutshell: The webpage manager we use to build the site uses the industry standard programming code for text colors and we have built our pages using black as the basic text color. Safari and Firefox interpret the underlying programming code as white. This is a problem that the makers of Safari and Firefox, for whatever reason, do not wish to address and are satisfied to let their owners not be able to access all sites. These are the only browsers we have found that do not interpret the programming code as black. Safari and Firefox display white text on white background, and make it appear as it nothing is there. We have over 600 pages in this site, with most having some sort of text. While we can solve the problem by individually editing each page one at at time and changing the color of text to another color so that Firefox and Safari users can see the text, that is not a manageable or practical solution. And besides, we may pick a color that cannot be read by those or other browsers either. If you run your cursor over a seemingly blank area, the text will appear. Example: Run your cursor here --> This text would appear to other browsers, but not for Firefox and Safari users. It might be easier to open dya.com with another browser, e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc. Sorry for any inconvenience. |
