Equipment Return for Teams and Umpires

CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT before bringing it to the office.  And please do not bring it into the office wet.  If stored while wet it will be mildewed when you get it back next year.  PLEASE let it dry before you pack it up and bring it in.

Equipment return will begin July 19, 2008 and will continue through the end of July.

Equipment Return for Coaches:

Remember the following:
1 Clean all equipment - Equipment will be dumped out on office floor and repacked for next season
2 Helmets in red bag - Tighten all screws on helmets before packing

(Based on equipment turned in last year - folks seem to have trouble with this request.  Please return helmets in red bag.  Next year when you pick up equipment and get two bags, you'll be less likely to walk out of the meeting with all helmets or all equipment if we can keep equipment in non-red and helmets in red.  Thanks.
3 Other equipment in blue, green, or black bag
4 Identify equipment that needs replaced by turning it in separately - do not pack in bags
5 Place balls in separate (grocery) bag - paper or plastic
6 Turn in unused monies for umpires, i.e. rained out games (all leagues except Coach Pitch and Tee-Ball).  
7 Turn in player evaluation forms (all leagues except Tee-Ball).  This information is the basis for player drafts next season.

Volunteers accepted to help at DYA office during equipment return.  Just show up.  Will inspect bags and store equipment for next season.  Thank you in advance for your help.

Please plan on extra time to clean your equipment at the office if you have not done so when you come in.  Dirty equipment will not be accepted and deposit checks will not be returned until equipment is returned clean. 

Equipment Return for Umpires

Remember the following:
1 Clean All Equipment - Equipment must be cleaned before return - chest protector, shin guards, face mask.  Also return counter and brush.
2 Turn in your "games worked report"  This is the record of your experience and will be used to consider you for future increases in grade and pay.  

Umpires may turn in equipment any date and time team equipment is turned in.

Dirty equipment will not be accepted and deposit checks will not be returned until equipment is returned clean.
